In November 2017, I harvested a nice mature Adirondack buck, my best ever. After a 4 hour drag back to my tent, I went to sleep. I woke up to part of Cranberry Lake having iced over about 3/4" thick. With a 14' boat and small motor, I wasn't sure it could go through it. It was a 5 mile walk to the road so I took my chances. Thankfully it all worked out.
