#BigGravelMiles #Covid19CrusherRace So here's the deal. All the races are either being canceled or moved back to later dates and at this point it's probably not a good idea to ride in big groups. Therefore, my buddies and I came up with an idea for a race. We have two AMAZING routes. One is 68 miles and the other is 29 miles. The routes begin about 30 minutes South of KC in Bucyrus, Kansas and head south. Along the way you will experience outstanding views, a few gnarly climbs and some prime gravel roads. The majority of the route is gravel with a few paved roads connecting gravel roads. On the 68 mile route there is a Casey's general store in Drexel, MO if you need to refuel but it's about a mile off route.
This is all about having the opportunity to still race while also supporting local establishments!
To enter you must purchase a $20 gift card to any local KC establishment. Restaurant, Bike Shops etc....Mail your gift card or drop it off at Dave's Bike Shop in Raymore, MO.

Along with the gift card please include your name, address, email and a short description of why you are supporting the particular establishment you purchased your gift card from and why you love riding bikes. Also, please include your race category.
I will mail an official event sticker to all participants.
There will be an A and B race category for men and women. As well as a 29 mile route option for men and women. The top two times in each category will win the gift cards. All gift cards will be distributed evenly between the winners. We will use Strava to record times so you must use Strava to record the ride. Both routes are one segment. A category racers should stick to the 68 mile option. Do not sign up for the B category if you should be in the A. You know who you are, A category racers!
The race will begin on April 10 and end May 10. You may race the route any time between those dates. NO E-BIKES and NO GROUPS!
