COVID-19 testing capacity “critical” to Singapore opening up after circuit breaker: Lawrence Wong “Eventually, we will want to gradually relax our restrictions as our community cases come down and we resume activities. This needs to be done in a safe manner … and the key enabler for this is really to have a scaled-up testing capacity,” Minister Lawrence Wong said during a media conference on Monday (Apr 27). He added that authorities are starting to test essential workers - including healthcare, frontline and nursing home workers - more regularly, particularly those who work with the vulnerable and senior citizens:
