This tutorial shows you how to sew a medical safety gown for healthcare workers or as an isolation gown. I talk you through each step of the process including the tile printing. Making the gowns is fairly easy and you only need a basic level of sewing. Some parts can be slightly tricky but the video shows you exactly what to do.
These medical gowns are sometimes called surgical gowns, patient gowns, exam gowns, isolation gowns or lab gowns.
The gown pattern is 4 sizes, Small, Medium, Large & X Large.
The small fits up to average sized women eg US 10, UK 12, AU 14, EU 40.
The large and extra large are longer for taller people.
These gowns are washable and made from 100% cotton. It must be prewashed in very hot water to preshrink the fabric before making.
