In today’s video, we will discuss the current situation we have in the world: healthcare, unemployment, investing and general well-being.

Specifically, we wanted to discuss how poorly managed the US healthcare situation is, with the limited stimulus package and not a lot/enough of help for most Americans in these dire times.

There are concerns about unemployment. Some experts predict 20% unemployment, while even those of us who are still employed may also face difficulties in having secure, well-paid employment. Something that’s been hanging over us is if Simas may also become unemployed as so many people have already lost their jobs. We would hope not become homeless but anything is possible... after all, these are unprecedented times we are living in. Not only that, but our household has also been surviving only one income in New York City, one of the most expensive cities in the world to live in. We never actually had to dig into anything like unemployment benefits before, and we hope we won't have to!

When it comes to investing, we wanted to clear the air that there is nothing wrong with taking advantage of the stock market while prices are low. It’s not immoral or anything like that. Just use your own discretion and don’t follow any fake news or bad advice and you’ll be just fine. We recommend getting started with Robinhood, because it’s commission-free and very user friendly. You can, of course, use Fidelity, Charles Schwab or any trading platform you think will do best for you.
