April 24th 2020 - Feeling sad to say goodbye to a member of our Filipino family today :-( But as the circumstances around us are changing every day we have to try to make smart decisions. We asked Binggo Ride the Tuk Tuk company here on Siargao Island to send a driver to collect our vehicle because we are paying 600 Pesos per day for something we can't even use. Money is getting tight here and we have to make sure we aren't wasting it if we want to survive out here until we get back into a position of control again.
We found out the Enhanced community quarantine was going to be reduced down to General community quarantine on May 1st. One week from today which is good news. Some shops will reopen and we think the quarantine checkpoints will be removed then but we'll have to wait and see.
For now we are going to upload a daily video diary of the Siargao Island Lockdown scenario. This is day 38. Our regular family travel vlogs will resume publishing later.
