The trapezoid rule is a numerical integration method, that is, a method to calculate approximately the value of the definite integral. x being a number between a and b, so interval [a,b] .
In numerical analysis , the trapezoidal rule (also known as the trapezoid rule or trapezium rule) is a technique for approximating the definite integral. . The trapezoidal rule works by approximating the region under the graph of the function as a trapezoid and calculating its area , by dividing the given area into small sub areas. but by calculating sum of each area will give you the area of required trapezium.
This video will be helpful for students of BA, B.Sc, M.Sc, NET, IIT-JAM & Engineering students B.Tech & GATE.
