4 'Docile' African Cichlids [These Will Usually NOT try to Kill Each Other] - Don't Give Up on ACs!

4 'Docile' African Cichlids [These Will Usually NOT try to Kill Each Other] - Don't Give Up on ACs! Is there such a thing as a "docile" African Cichlid? Over the years I've kept a variety of cichlids and here are a few that have turned out to be on the peaceful side.

I know some hobbyists have stopped keeping African Cichlids because they became frustrated and upset with all the aggression. These fish would be a good choice for those who love the colors of ACs but want to tone down the violence.

So watch this before you give up on African Cichlids (or if you're just starting out).

A fairly peaceful African Cichlid tank is actually possible! But I have to warn you, there are no guarantees because, as anyone that has kept ACs knows, all cichlids come with their unique personality, and it can change without warning. But over the past several years, these have proved to be on the mellow side in my tanks.

Check out my 4 choices and let me know what you think in the comment section below. Have you kept these fish? What was your experience keeping them? Are there some African Cichlids that you would recommend as peaceful based on your firsthand experience? Share them below. We're always learning from each other around here!

I do enjoy reading your comments as well as the conversations that go on between all of you (the "Convo Gang!").
