In the wake of three-month long lockdown, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) has apparently decided to make available the most sought-after ‘prasad’ – Srivari Laddus - to its devotees across both Telugu states’.
According to the TTD’s PRO Ravi, the Laddu outlets were opened yesterday and the TTD decided to sell 40,000 laddus a day. Today, as it happens to be a public holiday and Sunday, more people seem stirred out their homes to buy their favorite Laddu. The regional offices of TTD apparently have also obtained necessary police permissions to open these outlets. The TTD reportedly continue to keep open these Laddu counters at all its Kalyana Mandapam offices till the main temple at Tirupati is formally opened.
In its 5.0 lockdown norms, the Union Home Ministry has allowed temples and other worshipping places of all regions can be opened from June 8.
In that backdrop, what is more disturbing is behavior of people in Hyderabad, who seems unwilling, following the lockdown norms like either maintaining ‘physical distancing’ or wearing masks.
That apart, the chaotic scenes of people parking their two-wheelers and four-wheeler vehicles at their will to create traffic jam and road blockade exposes their irresponsibility.
And, Orangenews9tv, as responsible media would not like to blame neither the TTD nor the city police, but those who came in big numbers. Police have done their thankless job for the past 60 days, along with Doctors, paramedical staff and sanitary workers.
It’s time for people, who should religiously follow the Covid-19 norms as the pandemic is not going to leave them till a vaccine is found. Hence, they should not become contributors for further spread of the pandemic! That’s for sure.
