The Bruno Heinen Trio features long time friend and collaborator - Italian bassist Andrea Di Biase (Kenny Wheeler), and acclaimed US drummer Gene Calderazzo (Pharoah Sanders). An original suite, the starting point for Out of Doors was the eight Hungarian folk melodies used by Bela Bartók in his 1920 composition 8 Improvisations.
