The Story of Qazaq Air - How a Regional Airline in Kazakhstan Takes Advantage of the Dash 8-400 Managing Director of AviaDev Europe Juraj Toth interviews Plamen Atanasov, the CEO of Qazaq Air - a regional airline that operates domestic services in Kazakhstan using a fleet consisting purely of DeHavilland Canada Dash 8-400. During the interview, Plamen shared the story of Qazaq Air, how they maximised the time during lockdown to come back stronger, the three lesson the airline has learnt in the last 5 years and the 3 main ingredients for a successful regional airline.
This interview was produced in cooperation with DeHavilland Canada, the manufacturer of the Dash 8 – 400, the world´s most advanced turboprop aircraft.
Following the recent opening of boarders, Dash 8 fleet are rationalizing operator´s recovery plans all around the world. On a global scale, more than 600 routes operated by Dash 8 has been resumed in June 2020, 77 completely new routes were opened and on 46 routes Dash 8 replaced a jet aircraft to provide better efficiency for the operators.
