Investment Firms in Australia Push for More Female Leaders

Investment Firms in Australia Push for More Female Leaders Sep.30 -- On this episode of "Bloomberg Equality," Debby Blakey, chief executive officer of HESTA, the largest superannuation fund dedicated to Australia’s health and community services industry, discusses gender parity in the country and its '40:40 Vision.' Eight investment firms managing more than A$1 trillion ($712 billion) are calling on the biggest companies to appoint more women to executive roles. The firms including BlackRock Inc. and Aberdeen Standard Investments want at least 40% of senior leadership roles at S&P/ASX 200 companies to be held by women, 40% by men and the remainder from any gender by 2030, according to HESTA's statement. Blakey speaks with Bloomberg's Haidi Stoud-Watts and Shery Ahn.
