Carving a Gamble Piece of Boulder Opal I got a mystery opal out of my box which shows some promise but will it turn in to anything useful.

ALWAYS WERE AT MINIMUM A RESPIRATOR WHEN CUTTING ANY STONES and water is a must, not only for minimising dust, but it also helps in reducing heat in a stone to avoid damage.

The grit of what i used were as followed

Rotary bits
280 Nova Point
600 Nova Point
1,200 Nova Point
8,000 Nova Point
14,000 Nova Point
50,000 Nova Point

Dremel 3000 with attachment handpiece. Then just a standard dremel chuck in the end for easy of adjustability.

Cut Stones Can be seen or purchased here, I also occasionally make jewellery also -
