Laid Off! Furloughed? What does the Future Look Like for Retail Workers?

Laid Off! Furloughed? What does the Future Look Like for Retail Workers? If you've been watching the news then you know the retail industry--like many industries in the U.S.--is reeling because of the Coronavirus Pandemic. Thousands of stores have been shuttered and millions of retail workers have been laid off or furloughed. 26 million Americans are our of work. Many are struggling. A new poll reveals 41% report some loss of income, 27% say someone in their household has been laid off, and 22% are struggling to pay their bills. When the health crisis recedes some retail workers probably won't have a job to go back too. If you work in retail what does your future look like? In this video we give you a brief overview of the industry, offer advice from two experts, and at the end of the video we give you our suggestion.
